"This change is the first time in 14 years, Nokia no longer occupy the top position in the mobile industry," said the IHS iSuppli, as quoted from France24.
"Samsung currently holds a percentage calculated by 29% of the worldwide mobile phone shipments, rising from 24% in 2011, which marketshare Nokia has now dropped to 24% from the previous one is 30%," they added.
IHS iSuppli also said that it is also a first: a South Korean company leading the global handset market.
